Artist Statement: Lightning strikes, it lights up the waves in the storm at sea. It glistens on the caps of waves, drifting down through the boiling waves creating a light show. Reflecting on waves and foam seeking a path to the sand and the shore. Showing a path into a dangerous but enchanting world of the ocean

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabric, paper pieced Storm at Sea blocks, Lightning bolts mesh sliver raw edge applique. 80/20 Warm & natural batting. Free motion quilting with both variegated and metallic thread.
