Artist Statement: Nature is the main source of inspiration for my art. In this piece, sunlight breaking through the clouds is not just beautiful as it shows the dark versus the light but also speaks to me of hope even in the darkest times.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial batik and cotton fabric. Fusible applique collage and free motion quilting.
