Artist Statement: My mother is 97 and her memory is failing her. Still she remains positive and pleasant to be around. I will always remember the wonderful woman she is and was. Mothers And Daughters, 2003. This crazy quilt features the women in my family--grandmother, mother, sister, niece, and daughter, as well as myself. My mother's high school graduation picture is on the top right and is the same image I used to create I Will Remember You.

Materials & Techniques: English paper pieced background using commercial ombre fabrics. Face outline is made from a painted non woven interfacing. Words are hand embroidered using stem stitch and embroidery floss.
