Artist Statement: On a kayak trip in the Gulf Islands, I saw herons, more than a dozen, standing in a foggy lagoon. This celebrates that moment. The Haida-inspired style evokes more of the magic.

Materials & Techniques: Fabric marbled, marked, printed by artist. Machined pieced, raw-edge applique, machine quilted.
