Artist Statement: You can plant your beans in a row, but sooner or later they will make their own geometry. Likewise, a quilt or a poem may begin with your vision, but given time will take on a life of its own.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and recycled cotton and silk fabrics. The quilt was pieced in sections, then assembled. Applique (both turned and raw-edge) was applied overall and the piece was machine and hand quilted.
