Artist Statement: Beautiful hand-dyed fabrics from Mali/Africa are the base of the four squares, which represent the four elements; Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.

Materials & Techniques: African (Mali) hand-dyed cottons and solid black (Moda).  Free-hand cut and machine pieced.  Satin stitched edges.
