Artist Statement: I've always lived in the north (including three decades in Alaska) where winter solstice really matters. This quilt reflects the moods, colors, cracks of light, snow, fog, and general atmosphere of winter solstice. The reverse side of this quilt is as interesting as the front.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabrics, hand-dyed, pieced and quilted by the artist.
