Artist Statement: The Pacific Northwest offers endless inspiration for my landscape quilts with its majestic mountains, crashing waves, towering evergreens, and the changing colors of each season. Inspiration for this piece came from the vibrant fall colors at the Seattle Japanese Garden. My work has evolved and improved since 2016 when I first began making art quilts, but nature continues to be my source of inspiration. 

Materials & Techniques: I use fusible applique and collage techniques. Addition detail and texture are added during the quilting process.
