Artist Statement: Most of my first tile quilts were based off landscape photos and used all quilting cotton fabrics. In this full moon quilt I wanted to explore using a piece of woven fashion fabric along with commercial cotton and one small piece of hand dyed fabric.

Materials & Techniques: Fashion fabrics were used for the background and borders. Radiance was used as the moon's background. Fused tiles of cotton fabric were applied to the moon's surface and machine stitched. Some reverse machine applique was added to give it some bling. Some hand stitching around the reverse applique.
