Artist Statement: As a child in Oklahoma, I remember seeing hapless armadillos crushed on the highways. I have chosen to create one alive and well with a bit of attitude.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons, paint, embroidery thread, various threads. Piecing, applique, machine and hand embroidery.
