Artist Statement: Inspired by a class with Lorraine Torrence on the Japanese design technique call notan, an exploration of positive and negative spaces. I created my original in hand cut paper.

Materials & Techniques: All cotton fabric, thread, batting. Machine pieced and quilted on my table top Pfaff.
