Artist Statement: Special places inform my work. And, during COVID, doing that work has allowed for virtual travel. I spend time reliving the trips I've been lucky enough to go on, setting it in my mind with as many details as I can remember. I want to evoke what is unique and wonderful about my experiences. So now, I see the place, the time, the people – and I smile.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed, dye-painted cotton by artist. Machine quilted, couched, hand-stitched.
