Artist Statement: Nature inspires my art, from astrological phenomena to microscopic cells. Back in 1999, I tried to capture the movement of planets and their satellites, casting shadows from the light of distant stars. In my recent exploration of marbling fabric, neatly applied kaleidoscope designs wander and crowd each other. The movement has moved from the stiffness of applique to the dance of paint floating on water.

Materials & Techniques: All fabrics were hand marbled or hand dyed by the artist. Machine quilted.
