Artist Statement: The canyon rising above the Yakima River displays incredible geologic forms as the sunshine and shadows move across it throughout the day.

Materials & Techniques: Inspired by artist's own photograph, the artist hand-dyed and painted cotton materials. Pieced, embroidered and quilted by hand.
