Artist Statement: Each jeweled seed of the pomegranate is a dodecahedron, that completely fill a surface without any gaps, as they grows and swells with juice. Cutting open a pomegranate is always a treat, not just for the sweet seeds but the amazing color.

Materials & Techniques: I used rust and vegetable dyed fabric for the background and body of the fruit, commercial fabric scraps were used for shading. Machine piecing and raw edge applique were used and it was quilted on domestic sewing machine.
