Flower Moon by Tesi Vaara
Artist Statement: This quilt is a tribute to the flowers blossoming and blooming during a Full Flower Moon. Flowers have their own unique geometry and color that is so delightful to gaze upon.
Materials & Techniques: Fashion fabrics were used for the background and borders. A silk/cotton blend was used as the moon's background. Fused tiles of cotton fabric were applied to the moon's surface and machine stitched. Some reverse machine applique using the same silk/cotton blend was added to give it some bling.
