Artist Statement:  I played with making this chicken joyful by having its spinning feet dance. 

Materials & Techniques:  The appliqued chicken is one of many layers of this quilt.  I used translucent fabric to soften the background layer.  This piece is machine pieced, appliqued and quilted.
