Artist Statement:  A particularly beautiful sunrise near Cascade Head, Oregon inspired this piece. Building it with bands of color recalled the experience of watching the sun break through clouds to reorganize and transform the landscape, second by second.

Materials & Techniques:  Commercial, hand-dyed, and monoprinted cottons and silks. Machine pieced and quilted with hand embellishment.
