Artist Statement: Wanting to push myself to do less thread work and use commercial cottons more creatively, I took a Susan Carlson class at Asilomar, CA in 2016.  This piece was based on a photograph I took of my dog, a border collie mix, playing up the colors of the reflected light and shadows.

Materials & Techniques: Fabric collage using commercial cottons and batiks and sequined netting. Machine quilted with rayons threads.
