Artist Statement: These "flowers of sickness" show the damage to my joints from erosive osteoarthritis.  A thin "batting" and longer and finer needles with metallic thread allow me to continue for now the hand work I love.

Materials & Techniques: Sateen cotton, flannel, cotton, beads, synthetic threads. Self-designed and printed from my x-rays. Hand quilted and beaded.
