Artist Statement: The Serengeti has a light all its own which spreads a golden haze over the territory. Acacia trees stand as silent sentinels. Giraffes, zebras, and the Maasai herders intrigued me while on a recent safari in Tanzania.

Materials & Techniques: Rust and plant dyed 100% cotton with machine thread painting.
