Artist Statement: I am interested in weathered and distressed surfaces that suggest the passage of time. Close inspection of the piece reveals impressions left on the cloth when the material was wrapped around leaves and tightly bound.

Materials & Techniques: Art cloth: cotton mordanted with iron and alum. Dyed by bundling fall leaves.
