Artist Statement: Artwork inspired by an image of Spiral Galaxy NGC 1232 - VLT UT 1 + FORS1 produced by the European Southern Observatory 23 September 1998. Man's probing intellect, his insatiable curiosity, his constant exploration of the unknown, the pursuit of knowledge, society's expanding technological development and capability, the arms of the galaxy, the galaxies themselves, our universe: it is all expanding, all outward bound.
