Artist Statement: This quilt was inspired by the many photos at the NASA web site http://science.nasa.gov/ppod/. While no one image inspired this art quilt, I tried to capture the wonder I feel when I see these marvelous images of distant galaxies, nebula, stars and planets.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cotton fabrics. Machine paper pieced and machine quilted.
