Artist Statement: This quilt is inspired by the work of Yoshiko Jinzenji, textile artist and quilt maker. Working on a large scale with a limited color palette, I have tried to “conjure” the quick brush strokes of Japanese kanji.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial and hand dyed cottons. Machine pieced and quilted.
