Artist Statement: Fields of foxglove are a favorite in late spring. Inspired by a solitary plant I photographed on a morning walk.

Materials & Techniques: Overdyed and commercial cotton fabrics, cotton batting. Raw-edge appliqué over pieced background; machine quilting and thread painting.
