Artist Statement: Inspired by daydreams of warmer weather and a few cups of lemon grass tea. Bright green is the perfect antidote for winter's cover of gray.

Materials & Techniques: Fabrics - Dupioni silk (commercial and hand dyed), commercial cotton (binding), commercial batik (backing). Piecing thread - #50 cotton, Quilting thread - #100 silk thread, #40 Polyester, all backed with #50 cotton. Batting - Quilter's Dream Request Loft 100% cotton (center panel), Hobbs Premium Heirloom 80/20 cotton/poly (border sections).
Techniques - Machine piecing, machine applique, machine quilting
