Artist Statement: As we begin our next journey around the sun, I reflect on the beauty of nature's recurrence. The dormancy of winter will yield to spring's emergence, summer's abundance, and finally autumn's diminishment, before beginning the cycle again. In the dark days of winter, memory and expectation bring comfort.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial, hand-dyed, and recycled cottons and silks, metallic fabric and thread, tulle, beads, sashiko thread. Machine pieced and raw edge appliqued, machine quilted with straight and free-motion stitching, hand embellished.
