Artist Statement: There was no plan, no reason, no rhyme. It arose spontaneously from doodling on my computer. In fabric it grew in stages, like stanzas of a poem, repeating the rhythm of the stripes and the curves, until it was done. I constructed it but it composed itself.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons; machine pieced and quilted.
