Artist Statement: Balloons released into the wide sky may be seen to float and fly like a flock of birds. While short-lived, their migration is joyous, free, and a festival of color.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cotton and trim. Trapunto, fused and needle turned applique, pieced, hand embroidery, and 4 strand braid.
