Artist Statement: Zebra is the first piece of my "rear view" series, which are close up views of various backsides emphasizing the effect of light and dark to show depth.

Materials & Techniques: Raw edge applique using only one ombre fabric over a solid black base fabric. Quilting done with various shades of gray.
