Artist Statement: Monkeys demonstrate great intelligence. They have a rudimentary comprehension of basic math concepts. They have the ability to create mental maps and calendars. They are among the most social of animals and communicate in many ways. Recent fieldwork has even documented a deliberate social deception among monkeys which requires the ability to think about another's thoughts. What if monkeys had religion?
