Artist Statement: This process was an interesting adventure with surprising results. We started out this collaboration with an idea in our minds about what we wanted as the end result. As I worked in my studio, I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated and forcing myself to continue working anyway. After hearing from my collaborative partner about her frustrations, I decided to start over completely. As it turned out, we both had started over at about the same time and the end results fitted together perfectly when we were done. We were amazed and delighted to discover that we were really on the same wavelength after all!

Dimensions: 42" wide x 42" high

Materials and Techniques: Machine appliquéd and quilted using hand dyed and commercial fabrics. The interlocking circles were extremely challenging.
