Artist Statement: Moonglow Anemones live along Pacific Coast beaches, often partially buried in sand or tucked between rocks. Layers of painted silk organza were used to suggest the transparent tentacles of these small anemones.
Materials & Techniques: Raw-edge appliqué, free-motion machine quilting, couched yarns, hand-painted silk organza.
