Materials & Techniques: Quilt includes two silk damask panels of daisy-like flowers woven into the fabric, two blocks of red cotton and red striped raw Thai silk and turquoise silk. Czech glass buttons. Hmong PA Ndau reverse-appliqué blocks symbolizing heart and snail. Polyester batting, cotton backing. Designed and quilted by the artist.

Artist's statement : It was a joy to find a way to combine Czech buttons with the lovely silks that ended up in the quilt. While the quilt design if fairly simple, I wanted the focus to be on showcasing the silk panels and the Czech buttons. Completed in 2014.
