Artist Statement: "Sorok" was inspired by a cast glass piece by artist William Carlson. The name is Russian for forty - which is how many individual "blocks" are in the quilt.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed fabrics, machine collaged, pieced & quilted, assembled with torched chain.
