Artist Statement: This piece was based on photograph I took at Cleland Wildlife Park in South Australia. The still water was an unusual shade of green with darker shadows and bright white highlights, overhung with eucalyptus, or gum, branches.

Materials & Techniques: Hand-painted silk crepe background using Setacolor and gutta resist. Branches and leaves raw-edged appliquéd with hand-dyed and commercial cottons. Machine quilted with cotton, rayon and metallic threads. Bound with hand-marbled fabric.
