Artist Statement: Whether you see two trees, a hollow stump or something else, the image and words are meant to convey the values we all receive from trees standing in a forest.

Materials & Techniques: Fabrics of wool, cotton pique, cotton/polyester, satin, polyester stuffing, cotton batting, all commercial, and one hand-dyed cotton. Threads of wool, cotton, polyester, rayon. Hand printing on fabric with archival ink pen. Stitch pleats for bark. Machine and hand stitching to construct shape.
