Artist Statement: Yes, again someone states that it always rains in Seattle, but here it is July and another sunny day has dawned, not a cloud in sight, and what a beauty it is!

Materials and Techniques: This is a fabric bowl technique that I developed in 1997. This particular one consists of Pellon fusible, felt, and purchased hand dyed fabric, which has been cut into squares with a wavy cutter. The bowl is formed and squares then applied with free motion machine quilting using silk thread. Machine embroidery was used for the embellishment.
