Artist Statement: The blocks in this quilt are based on the fault patterns that form the uplifted mountain ranges and down-dropped valleys in the Basin and Range province of the Western US. The quilting mimics the topographic contour lines that describe the drainage pattern and the erosion history of the landscape.

Dimensions: 30" wide x 44" high

Materials and Techniques: Cotton fabric, dyed by the artist, machine stitched.
