Artist Statement: Depending om the orientation of the quilt, the orange ball is about to disapper into a green hole in the purple floor or has just emerged from the green hole in the purple wall. It takes some practive to see the implied motion, but in either orientation the ball is definitely falling.

Materials & Techniques: Commercial cottons, mostly batiks; machine pieced and quilted.
