Artist Statement: My Pleiades series uses the form of stylized garments to portray global myths of 7 sisters becoming 7 stars. Traditional women have produced, not only clothing for the body, but used materials in their environment to express their culture's mythology and their personal creativity: Greek.

Materials & Techniques: Indigo dyed cotton, synthetic metallic cloth, interfacing, batting, canvas, beads, shell disks, oil sticks. Shibori, machine and hand stitching, bead embroidery, stencilling, manipulation.
