Artist Statement:  This piece is a part of a series created an ombre fabric.  My personal challenge was to make the viewer question the subject and move for a closer look to see the portrait stitched into the quilting.

Materials & Techniques:  Cotton fabric and batting.  Raw edge applique with sketch as part of the quilting.
