Artist Statement: Deforestation is one of the major threats to our planet. Already half the Earth's forests are gone, and deforestation has accelerated in the last three decades. When forests disappear, we lose more than just timber, as the Earth's forests play a major role in climate regulation, erosion and flood control, habitat and watershed protection, and supplying non-wood forest products. We must all go into the woods, at least in spirit, and preserve them.
