Artist Statement: Red flowers cling to a cliff damp with fog. Where water collects, other flowers bloom profusely. I have only found the lovely tenacious cliff penstemon when hiking in the Pacific Northwest Cascade Mountains in August. This flower reminds me to find my niche, persevere, and shine with nifty color.
