Artist Statement: I spent many curious and delightful hours observing grasses in every spot imaginable, gleaning inspiration for this work of art. I still find myself looking at meadows and beside the road, observing the changes these plants have made as they evolved through the seasons. 

Materials & Techniques: Hand-dyed background fabric, deconstructed screen-printed fabric, raw-edge appliqué, machine stitched, machine quilted hand-dyed fabric, deconstructed screen-printed fabric, commercial batiks, wool batting, cotton and polyester threads
