Artist Statement: As Lightning strikes, it lights up the waves in the storm at sea. Light glistens on the caps of the swells then drifts down through the boiling waves creating a light show. It reflects into the waves and the foam as they seek a path to the sand and the shore. The lightning fingers show a path into a dangerous but enchanting world of the surf.

Materials & Techniques: Cotton fabrics, Paper pieced Storm at Sea blocks, Lightning bolts mesh sliver raw edge applique. 80/20 Warm & natural batting. Freemotion quilting with both Superior King Tut threads and Sulky Silver metallic thread.
