Artist Statement: I am moving through a summertime maze of hot colors against a cool wall of green and gray. I am looking for you.

Materials & Techniques: There are 4 layers: a backing of commercial cotton fabric; a hand-woven background made of commercially spun wool yarn and recycled cotton yarn from denim jeans; cotton batting; an appliqué of commercial cotton fabrics. The appliqués are machine stitched to one another and hand appliquéd to the background. The poem is printed using a home printer and hand-appliqued to the background.
