Artist Statement: I am interested in how we leave our mark. Cloth is my vehicle, because I understand how to manipulate it, and because of its intimate connection to the human body. Stains, worn spots, darns (which are now so rare as to be more precious than lamé to me) all inform my exploration of how we decide what to value and what to toss — whether it be embroidered dishcloths or uncomfortable memories.
