Artist Statement: The wedding portrait shows a happy, lovable couple with the bride seemingly extra sweet. We hope their marriage is a success, but we know the statistics, and that they might end up fighting like...cats and dogs. My quilts reflect the wide variety of my thoughts and interests and range from portraiture to geometric design.

Materials & Techniques: My standard techniques are machine piecing, appliqué and quilting with commercial fabric. Applying the knowledge and techniques I acquired through the Surface Design Program at the University of Washington, where I took many printmaking classes, I often dye, paint, screen print or do relief or Intaglio prints on my fabrics.
